Meat Design Ostrava is a festival bustling with inspiration, ideas, applied art, architecture and, above all, original product and interior design. Four days (November 21–24, 2019) of exclusive design, inspiration, talent and meetings with designers in the industrial heart of Ostrava – the premises of the former Hlubina mine and GONG auditorium in Dolní oblast Vítkovice. The program also includes lectures, workshops, screenings, family entertainment, animation and party with the creators.

DESIGN
This year we will once exhibit cutting-edge pieces of furniture, interior design, and new technologies of interior treatment which make our lives more comfortable and enjoyable. We will show off unique tables from a single piece of wood and other wooden products, as well as furniture for both the apartment and office. Furthermore, we will introduce you to companies producing concrete floors, skim coats, and paints for the interior. And, of course, we can’t forget textiles, accessories, and decorations. And not just in theory, everything awaits your purchase!
Lectures
Meet the icon of Czech design, professor at UMPRUM, Jiří Pelcl! Talk to the creative team of Lasvit glass factory, designers of Škoda, or notable personalities of Japanese design on their first-ever visit to the Czech Republic.
You can get practical advice for your apartment in the section Meat Home and Inspiration: sustainability and gentle approach to nature is the cornerstone of the modern lifestyle!

Professionals Day – Meat Design Miniconference – November 21, 2019
A meeting day before the start of the public exhibition intended for the invited and approached companies. We expect roughly 100–150 guests. An all-day program will be focused on networking and connecting companies, designers, architects and developers. We wish to concentrate on the necessity of design during the manufacturing process and its efficient implementation in companies.
