“I see a piece of jewelry as an object which completes us and highlights our personality. Its clean, uncomplicated form brings out the personality of the wearer as well as the piece. It starts by playing with the materials – shaping, layering, their contrast and light filtering. It is the alpha and omega of the resulting effect. I prefer modern materials, such as acrylic glass, stainless steel and textiles. My approach is closer to a product designer than to a classic jeweler – I design the collection and then I produce it in small series in cooperation with Czech workshops.” says Petra Zacpalová, the artist.
